Help out ‘To Write Love on Her Arms’

You may notice a new graphic over on my sidebar. WordPress just added SocialVibe, a fund raising widget for certain charities. I was looking for Shared Hope, and since they weren’t listed I chose To Write Love On Her Arms. From their website:

To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.”

Many of you know that I work with teenagers, not in a professional capacity, but as a member of the youth staff at our church. I have seen kids dealing with self-destructive behaviors, prayed with, over and around girls who have gotten themselves in so deep that they were actually dealing with the demonic. This ministry is vital to helping kids get out of the self-destructive patterns, break those chains, and get back to actually living life.
